Major Professional Contributions:

Prof. Amitava DasGupta has been active in field of Engineering Research and Education. He has contributed significantly to engineering education in the country. He has co-authored book" Semiconductor Device Modeling & Technology" which is recommended as Textbook for under-graduate and post-graduate students. He has also developed a course on Digital Integrated Circuits for the National Program on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) which is extremely popular. He has played an active role in growth of the Microelectronics& MEMS laboratory at IIT Madras. The technologies indigenously developed for accelerometers, pressure sensors and PIN detectors for gyroscopes have been successfully transferred to industry..
