Prof. Jayesh Bellare is a recognized world leader the cross-disciplinary, emerging area of nanotechnology, nanomedicines, biomedical devices and microscopy. His work has found broad industrial applications ranging from nanoparticles to drug delivery systems, liposomes, biomedical devices, tissue-engineered bone grafts, nanoclay-polymers, separation membranes, complex liquids and soft solids. The novelty in his work has been to understand products and processes of chemical engineering and bioengineering at a microscopic level, and scale the results to industrially and biomedically relevant systems.
