Major Professional Contributions:

He has been leading R&D Projects in the area of development of food and bioprocesses, downstream processing with special emphasis to aqueous two phase extraction, design of bioreactors and equipment for traditional foods, membrane processes. He lead a multi-crore Network project for Design and Development of equipment for Indian Traditional Foods. He has also guided doctoral (Completed 20 and 5 ongoing), postgraduate and post doctoral students. Currently is a PI of 12th plan Network project at CFTRI. He has developed 23 processes (supported by 22 US/PCT and 50 national patents) out of which 10 were transferred to over 50 industries..
