Major Professional Contributions:

Prof. Vivek Agarwal has done excellent work on high frequency link resonant power conversion leading to compact and efficient power supplies. His work on power quality has focused on new control schemes and topologies for power factor corrected SMPS and control of active filters under non-sinusoidal grid voltage conditions. He has made significant contributions to renewable energy conversion, MPPT, distributed generation and microgrid technology. He also works on electronic systems for medical applications. One of his noteworthy contributions is the concept of "remote clinics" using webserver based bio-medical devices, which enables remotely located patients to be diagnosed by specialist doctor.
